The policy explains how Ampelite (NZ) Limited may collect, use, store and disclose personal information you provide to us.
We recognise that the protection of your personal information will be important to you so you have our assurance that we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we collect is protected from misuse or unauthorised disclosure.

What is Personal Information?
Personal information is any information about you as an individual or information which can be used to identify you as an individual.
Information we collect from you
We do our best to ensure that we only collect personal information that is required to enable us to provide our services and help run our business effectively and efficiently. The types of personal information we may collect includes (but is not limited to):

When you visit Ampelite’s website, we may use automated technology (such as usage monitoring software, cookies and sessions) to collect and store certain information about your visit, including without limitation:

- The date and time you are visiting
- The pages you visit
- Any other information you expressly provide (such as your name and areas of interest). We use cookies to retain your name and areas of interest if you provide this information on the home page of our website
This information may be used to customise our website for your use in an aggregate (anonymised) form to analyse how our website is being used. Except for the reasons set out in this policy, we will not disclose any such information except in the aggregate form.

Information we collect from others
In certain circumstances, we may also collect personal information about you from third parties, such as those that we supply our products to.
We will only do this if you have been told first, where permitted by law or where you have authorised another agency to share that information. It is important that you read the privacy policies for all agencies you deal with, as you may be permitting the sharing of personal information with us when using those services.
How do we store the information?
Ampelite will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we hold is protected (against loss, unauthorised use, access, modification or disclosure and any other misuse) by taking such security measures as it is reasonable in the circumstances for us to take.
Where our sites operate CCTV, we will ensure that access to this footage is limited to our staff members who have a legitimate purpose in viewing or using that footage.
How long do we hold information for?
We will hold your personal information for only as long we need it.
If your personal information is no longer required by Ampelite, we will destroy the information in a secure manner.
How we use personal information
We primarily use the personal information we collect about you to ensure that you receive the best products and service from us.
We may also use your personal information for the following purposes:
- To fulfill orders and deliver products and services to you
- Managing our relationship with you, including contacting you about your purchases and/or account
- Considering feedback and complaints that you may make
- Ensuring the safety of our customers and staff

- Have access to that information.
If you believe that the personal information is not correct, you may request in writing that we correct the information.

Refusal of Access to Personal Information
We may refuse you access to personal information if (among other things):
- Disclosing the information would disclose information about another individual;
- The request is frivolous or vexatious or the information requested is trivial;
- The information is not readily retrievable;
- The information does not exist or cannot be found.
We will inform you of our decision within 20 days of you making the request.
